Nasdaq stocks posting largest volume increases

NEW YORK (AP) — A look at the 10 biggest volume gainers on Nasdaq at the close of trading:

BioMimetic Therapeutics Inc. : Approximately 4,083,800 shares changed hands, a 2,122.2 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.19 or 9.3 percent to $2.24.

Coinstar Inc. : Approximately 14,717,500 shares changed hands, a 1,234.5 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $6.97 or 13.8 percent to $57.53.

DARA Biosciences Inc. : Approximately 569,900 shares changed hands, a 1,261.2 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.43 or 26.9 percent to $2.03.

First Business Financial Services Inc. : Approximately 41,300 shares changed hands, a 1,580.0 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares fell $.57 or 3.1 percent to $18.08.

FreeSeas Inc. : Approximately 375,800 shares changed hands, a 1,610.3 percent increase over its 65-day average volume. The shares rose $.12 or 16.9 percent to $.80.
